Experienced stud staff required, specialising in either Broodmares or Yearlings.  Large Thoroughbred Stud in the Hunter Valley, foaling approx 220 mares and preparing 100 yearlings each year for major sales.

Duties would involve general stud duties with mares and foals, preparing yearlings for sale, off season maintenance work, foal and weanling handling, handling for vet and farrier.

Permanent position with favourable work conditions with routine work hours and 2 1/2 days off each fortnight.  Accommodation is supplied along with own horse agistment.  Highly competitive industry level wage to be negotiated based on experience.

Assistant Broodmare manager/9 day manager

Baramul Stud is currently looking for an Assistant Broodmare Manager/9 Day Manager.  This position answers directly to the Broodmare Manager and is a high responsibility position.  The main duties carried out will be assisting the Broodmare Manager in the day to day running of the mares and foals, overseeing the well being and care of all newborn foals along with pre and post foaling mares, managing staff, adhering to and implementing OH & S practices along with general stud farm duties.
The ideal applicant will have previous experience in the stud situation with a sound knowledge of breeding and foaling practices.  We are looking for an energetic person that functions well in a team and strives to maintain high standards.
The salary package will be negotiable with the successful applicant, certainly above industry standard.  Accommodation, electricity and own horse agistment is also offered.
